Why women with silicon breast can’t dive with Nitrox???

Ok guys u did well with the first one,
but let me tell u something from my
experience and this is not a joke,
and I would like to know your point of view.

Did you know that women with bigger breasts
whatever it was silicon or Christo-lube they
need more weight in the weight belt to be able
to descent ????

I have never heard of any restrictions for diving with implants. I've been a diving instructor for 25 years..so a lot of bases to this statement.

I you have any concerns ... contact the DAN organization. They would have a diffinative medical opinion

I wouldn't be surprised if women with larger breasts need more weight. Breasts are mostly fat, no? And women with larger breasts tend to have a higher body fat percentage than women with smaller breasts (unless they are artifically endowed), no? It's the same with anybody...more fat = necessity for more weight (from what I have seen anyway).

Now, a low body fat percentage female with silicone breasts...I dunno...I would actually be surprised if silicone breasts implants are positive. It seems to me a bag of silicone (assuming no air spaces in it at all) would sink, but hey, I'm no plastic surgeon.

I would think that the silicone would be negative too but you would also have increased displacement due to the increased size so wouldn't it be a function of the negativity of the implant factored with the bouyancy of the increased water displacement?

You are exactly right...I suggest you go out and get some implants and don't change your gear setup. Let us know what happens..
