I finished a good pirate book recently. It's titled "Empire of Blue Water" by Talty. It's about Captain Morgan and he was in both Port Royals.
Another good book to read is "The Treasure Hunter" by Robin Moore and Howard Jennings. It's out of print, but you can still find used copies on Amazon. It's very Indiana Jones-ish, but includes some history of Roatan and how the modern Port Royal came to be- it also talks about pirate treasure and the original Port Royal. It's an easy read, more adventure story than history!
