Is an SPG with a thermometer in it any good? I don't really care about the thermometer but I like how clearly visible this is. Anyone know where these are made?

You can get things shipped from the continent (Brexit benefits that keep on giving...)I had a look because I need some cheap SPGs and it's ridiculously expensive in the UK. But it's also in a fancy boot (that would go straight in the bin) and it comes with a hose. So maybe if this is just the bare gauge then that's why it's cheap?
I want to convey a friendly tone when I ask why I should accept your answer aside from the fact that it confirms what I already suspect.Wait so is your question "is this cheap because spgs with a built in thermometer might not be any good"?
Anyway if that's what it is the answer is a built in thermometer doesn't make an spg any less accurate or reliable and who knows sometimes you just might want to know how cold it is and the thermometers built into dive computers aren't always accurate. Not to say that one built into an spg is any better but no reason to think it's any worse.
Do you know where this is made? I've heard most of them are made in Italy regardless of brand but I've got a Mares that was made in Germany and after a couple of decades I'm a bit concerned. I may even get a transmitter so my wife can monitor my tank. Her idea...That's not cheap - that's just good price and not getting scammed by your local diveshop with ridiculous markups. You can buy decent DirZone-branded SPGs for about EUR 40 (EUR 32 without VAT) retail price if you know where to look. Decent means same brand as the ones used on JJ-CCR.
