Why are people slagging the diving out of Cairns to me??

....Check out liveaboards like Taka, Mike Ball and Spirit of Freedom.

One thing to do before you head out diving is to go and see Paddy's Reef Teach presentation in Cairns.

Two good pieces of advice here ! Taka would be my choice of liveaboard. I used to work in Cairns, and the reef where the day boats go to is not too healthy. Liveaboards tend to go a bit further, and it's healthier out there. Taka goes to the Cod Hole on a 3 or 4 day trip I think. Definately go see Paddy too - a very entertaining and informative night - get there early too, late comers will miss the tim-tams !!

I agree with that thought, we went to the class previous to our liveaboard portion of our trip and enjoyed it.

What's up in Florida? We've been a few days to Mackinaw Island, no diving though...just dreaming of diving .We have not yet made plans for this coming spring, so far the choices are Grand Cayman / Cayman Brac or maybe Hawaii the Big Island/ Maui. I hope you've been well, did you ever get your electric fixed?

Doing great, you? Yes got a new breaker box in and I wired the generator myself....and it worked !!!. We then promptly moved house? (don't ask I just do as I am told). Sooooo I have to do it all over again
We still have vacation time for this year but I don't have any plans yet, maybe go and see my buddy in St Lucia again. Next year we are booked Wakatobi, Bali and Hong Kong, so I had better be a good boy...at least until after the trip.
