My instructors have made me their mascot air leach with a pay as you can standing on getting certs. That said they started out as instructors but became friends.Needless to say I've become a big time scuba junkie.I dive almost every weekend.I got my 40th Dive in today. And it was one of those dives that you remember why you do it all in the first place...It was a deep (86 feet)beautiful relaxed friends dive.Vis was grand the sea life made me sad I didn't have a camera and the skill to do them justice.Towards the end of the dive the instructor took me to see some of the biggest most beautiful unharmed (by reef scraping coral killers) coral areas. So many different types of coral I was in ah. Plate coral that was huge with no dead areas that looked human caused. Then one of the best comments you could ever give me to end the day on after the dive.Instructor says"I never take anyone to that area unless they have the buoyancy to not scrape or land on it."
Now on a side note.I know of nothing other than getting a call that says "hey Sharks Cove is flat you want to dive?" that is able to get me out of bed and out the door. With gear bucket in hand in under 20 minute.Heck more likely less time than that.Who needs coffee. And I swear those people staring at you like you lost your mind are NOT looking at your hair standing up and your shirt on backwards.

visual!! *sigh* wish I could have been there. Congrats on number 40.

Congrats on your 40th :thumb: I can see you smiling from here! Those special dives always seem to come just when you need them, don't they?

Just when you think I'm doing this why.One of the best dives happens and you go oh yeah that's why. Also they usually happen after the dive where your flashlight floods you feel you'll never get your sac down, you think your buoyancy sucks to the point where you feel like one of the most awkward things on land or in water. Then when you think your so silly for spending all your spare time getting better at this sport the dive you'll always remember as one of the best happens. So on a bad dive day I pull out the turtle pics and say to myself "you know they are waiting for you to come and play so go do it!Even turtles need a laugh and boy did you give them one today."
Another point I remember is even a so called bad dive once you get over the bad part your remember that fish you saw that was so cool and you need to look up what it was.
