Who to book liveaboards through?

Maybe I'm being unrealistic, but I wouldn't book a liveaboard that did not have their own website or at the very least a way to contact them directly, whether that's email or FB or whatever. You're not a real business if you don't have a presence on the interwebs.

I Was surprised how many boats I couldn’t find and, since it’s been a while since my last liveaboard, I was starting to think maybe it was just all now aggregated by big tourism or something?? Thanks for confirming I’m not crazy !!

Who do people book liveaboards through?

I've read not to trust liveaboard.com but a lot of boats don't seem to have a direct email (some do of course)!

I have booked directly with lobs and with Dom at Dive Advice who I do recommend. In addition, I have used Liveaboard.com without issues. What has been the problem with Liveaboard.com?
