:rofl3:

since you so succesfully hijacked it a while back, that's awfully funny

let's see... most money from scuba...

probably Cousteau, since he held the patent for so long and licensed it out at will
adjusted for inflation, he probably made a killing up to the 70's

So my memory still works.

BTW Hitler wrote a great (as in impressively accurate and a clear forewarning of things to come) book. He was certainly qualified and it is very relevant to the historical context. I'll let you borrow it if you read German..?

Just what planet do you come from??? If you think Mein Kampf is a 'great book', you missed your calling by 70 years.

Suggest reading the Declaration of Independence if you have a sufficient grasp of English.:coffee:

I'm amazed and disappointed that fellow SB members let Meng Tze's post stand without challenge. 3,800 views at last glance.

Let's see...Most members support, or at least don't object to, using Ho Chi Minh's photo as an avatar, and think it's OK to praise a genocidal treatise written by a maniacal tyrant responsible for the devastation of Europe, and the extermination of millions of people.

I may be the real oddball here. :coffee:

So be it.

well if your not looking for a company and just from a diving expo AND was able to keep everthing I would have to say MEL FISHER and he is still making millions off of tourists who come to his musems. Lucky Man

because, unlike you, we can spot irony when we see it

(the high horse is that -----> way .... oh wait ... you already found it!)

back to the thread topic which Tonka (again) tries to derail

Mel Fisher sure has made a lot of money ... but he did work very hard, and put a lot on the line ...

i don't have a problem with someone working their butts off and making a bundle as a result ... god form him!

Tonka,
I'm pretty confident that your assumption that all 3,800 viewers agree with Meng-Tze's assertions is NOT CORRECT ............ I think many are going on a "Not the time and Not the Place" basis for the discussion of past world events. (Sadly) I could be wrong, however.

No Bullswan, you are correct. Tonka is what is called a TROLL. He gets his jollies by trying to make people mad and start fighting. Best to just ignore him. SB even has a handy "ignore user" feature!

Now to the topic... I think Mel, has (had) probably made the most money utilizing SCUBA. I don't know if he would go through it again though. The death of family and friends counter-acts any amount of money.

Greg, I hope you are correct.

I am supporting the wrong forum if you are wrong!

H2Andy: What exactly is the irony that you feel is obvious in Meng Tze's post?

Mein Kampf was described as 'impressively accurate and a clear forewarning of things to come'??? No irony here. This is just a false statement. Scapegoating the Jewish citizens was not impressively accurate. It was a way to blame and ultimately justify the Nazi murder of millions of innocent souls.

"He (Adolph Hitler) was 'certainly qualified'..." Irony? Nope. Just a ridiculous assertion about a twisted little WWI corporal, with murderous power on his mind. No irony here.

"I'll let you borrow it if you read German..?" Irony? Nope. Just an attempt to condescend. Having read Mein Kampf, I consider it the work of a madman and worthy of a very special place in Hell.

Reading history will illuminate dark recesses....:coffee:
