I want to get everybody's first hand experience on snokeling results using the Bio Fin PRO. Can all of you give me the pros and cons of using them for snorkeling?

Thank You
JC

Uh, there were dolphins, we jumped in the water to snorkel with them, Apollo bio fins are the only fins I own. I saw, I snorkeled, I lived to tell about it. It was fine.

Thanks for the quality input. Sorry my post wasn't "technical" enough for you. I just want to get some first hand thoughts from people who actually used them for this purpose before dropping $200.00 for them.

I own a pair of full-foot Apollo Bio Fins and snorkel with them regularly in the North Sea off the North East coast of England. They accommodate the gentle kind of snorkelling I do and get me from the shore and back very efficiently.

I have full foot Apollo Biofin Uni. They are very nice for snorkeling. The foot pockets are very large though so may need to wear a thin bootie or sock, or order a smaller size. They are heavy for traveling though. In the water they are excellent.

You're welcome. Actually, your post was too "technical";)

I have and use the Biofin Pro. My primary use is for scuba. They can be used for snorkeling, but one of my "cons" about split fins in general is that they don't work as effectively for paddling around on the surface as "old fashioned" paddle fins.

I find I have to modify my kick a bit to keep the fins submerged. They don't seem to have as much thrust at the surface. But they work fine and I don't want to carry 2 sets of fins when I travel.
