Can anyone here who has dove Kosrae comment on the diving there? I'm not a photographer and hear there aren't many big fish but I'll be happy if I see color and pristine reefs with good viz. Anyone?

It’s been a few years but I enjoyed my Kosrae diving. You are correct about the lack of pelagics; at least I didn’t see many. However, it did have very pristine hard corals and the vis was usually great. I have stayed at both the Kosrae Village and Nautilus, and both have their positives. Unless it has changed, because of religious reasons, there was no diving on Sunday. But, visiting a church on Sunday is a worthwhile cultural experience. The singing was fantastic.

I was living on Kwajalein at the time, so for me it was an easy trip. Would I travel far just for Kosrae? I’d have to think about that.... But, combined with a Chuuk/Truk and/or Pohnpei trip, it definitely would be worth including. Or, if you like not having lots of other divers around, or the idea of experiencing a remote island experience, then go for it.
