Location
California-east bay area
(San Carlos Beach, in Monterey CA on Jan 2, 2014. Water temp around 54F, depth around 45fsw)My dive partner and I noticed a handful of areas where there appeared to be mold and/or white fungus growing on rocks. Attached is a short clip of the substance along with a few pictures. I'm curious to see what others have to say about it, and if someone could positively identify it for me, that would be awesome! Thanks! :)

I'd concur with the encrusting sponge... look at the incurrent and excurrent pores in the full sized pictures
