Hi all

I have a Canon A70 that I shoot without strobes. Have a qn here that's got me baffled for a while now..

Whenever I try to manually set white balance for a shot, the pic always end up too red, especially with the macro shots. In the end I gave up and shot under auto balance instead, and adding the red in PS.

Can anyone advise me on how to overcome this?

Thanks! :coffee:

Are you using the camera's flash? As I understand it, this will happen when you use the flash after having white balanced. By WB'ing, you are retelling the sensor what white looks like in the light you're in. Then when the flash goes off, you give the frame white light that has much more red than what you had WB'ed against, so everything comes out red.
