OK guys.....

Going to buy a new wing for my transpac this weekend. Question is, which one?

I dive with worthington HP steel 100's, curently single tank, and looking to band them together and dive double HP 100's.

I currently have a Venture Wing. I was thinking of a trek or rec wing so I could use the same wing for both singles and doubles.

Any thoughts?

Tienuts, I don't care for the RecWing with singles because it is so big and traps air. Why don't you just buy a doubles wing for your doubles and use your Venture Wing for singles?

Cause I'm lazy, and I dont want to swap back and forth.

Kidding. I will if I have to, I was just wondering if I could use one wing for both, like Fill Express says.

Red, what about the trek wing?

I've never used the Trek Wing. My doubles wing is an Oxycheq 50 lb wing. I originally used the RecWing for singles and then my buddy got a Venture Wing and I liked it better because I didn't have to lean back and tilt to the right to empty the Venture Wing so I got one too. You have to take the wing off anyway to swap from doubles to singles. I still use the RecWing when I dive a HP 120 with a deco bottle and it is a good wing for a big single and deco bottle because it will shift air to one side.

Dude you live in one of the US's meccas of diving,,,,you say that you are an instructor,,,,can't you find and barrow each of the wings you are thinking about for a 'test ride'??? Don't go on what others recomm. and tell you about which wing---get out and try them!!!

Good point, but I would have to rent one from Fill Express. This is the recreational mecca. The shop I work at gives me crap for using Dive Rite, and not Zeagle, like everyone else there.

Show up with a wing setup, or 7 ft hose, and they think you're out of your mind.

Personally I concur with this suggestion. However I currently have a travel wing mounted on my X-Tek and a Rec-Wing on my BP/W.

The suggestion to borrow some and try them is always a good one IMHO.

Stop over at Brownies. See what they have to say. But I'd STRONGLY advise against getting one wing for both singles and doubles. It' a half-baked solution that sucks no matter what you dive it with.

Dude when you unbolt your doubles they wing will fall off , you tanks hold it on . With that said two seperate wings is best . Check out the DSS toras 45 i believe or save some cash and order it with the DSS plate. I have never heard anything good about doubles on a transpack.
