No affirmative responses here, tells me that what I was thinking may not exist. I know I saw it one time at least years ago...but not sure about diving. I think it was a sailboat excursion that folks were boarding as we walked into town...
Guessing the response you were looking for is if any ports have convenient scuba excursions right off the ship - the answer is yes. I did some research just a few years ago for a cruise I was taking and found several ports that had dive centers or a dive ops boat within a 5 minute walk (such as in St. Thomas or St. Kitts.) Some places, such as St. Martin, have a slightly longer walk at 10-15 minutes. With a family, I'd probably be looking for the convenience of a scuba excursion being right off the ship also.Any suggestions for great ports with convenient scuba excursions,
I'm linking my spreadsheet for Cozumel dive shops, in case that becomes a possibility for you. It has a column for cruise ship friendly dive ops - if at the International Pier, their are some ops that are about a 10-15 minute walk away - nothing right off the ship.

Several ScubaBoard members dive on cruise ship stops - try using the search feature above to look up cruises, maybe specific ports/islands, and you should find info on what others have done.
