Hello everybody,

ordered a Z2 (withot Swivel) and wondering, which Miflex for connecting the second stage will fit. Is it a regular 3/8" LP Miflex?

I think you will need the Atomic Jam Nut as atomic regs use specific connectivity.

Really? I owned some Z2s and swapped out hoses, I don't remember doing anything special, it was a while ago and of course I could be mistaken, my memory is not what it used to be.

If you're swapping a swivel hose for a standard hose, a jam nut/M1 heat sink would be best practice. But aside from showing exposed threads on the second stage where the regular LP hose will not screw down as far as the swivel hose did, one isn't strictly necessary.

Thanks alot to everybody!

Do I need the Jam Nut even if I have a Z2 instead of a Z2X (so, without swivel)?

those guys have more experience with Atomic than I do, but you can always call an Atomic service tech if you're really concerned about the jam nut. Do learn something new every day though, had no idea the Atomics needed that jam nut for the swivels, strange they made theirs with longer threads than standard connections, wonder if it was to prevent people using them on other second stages....

That'd be my guess, exclusivity and all that.
