I've been curious about the bio-lock for a while now. Do they work well with a bp/w with an STA? I have a transplate with two DR SS cam bands... would I need one bio-lock, or two? Do they adjust easily between various tank widths, say, switching among an older steel 72, an hp100 and an hp120?

Actually, I have put Apollo-Lock for my GF's STA (Halcyon), so I had to get two locks. LOL~~~ She has always complainted the unlimited hassles for the preparation of the diving, so I bought it for her. It works a darn great and so easy to adjust and screw in and out. For your reference, my GF is using AL80 and PST 130CF.

In addition, Apollo Rep. is also our board member, so I am sure we can get the quality service if something is wrong.

Why would you need two of them other than aesthetics? I'm sure that if you put a bio-lock in one position and a regular strap in the other it would still take a nuclear blast to get that tank off.

I agree with your point though. If you ask why, it is because there are two slots.. ;)

I've used it on everything from a 72 to my faber hp120 - once it's clamped down, that tank isn't going anywhere. Changing tanks is easy too because you don't have to worry about that long velcro strap to wrap around the tank - everything is right in front of you..

I've thought about using two as well. On most STA's the slots are at the very very top and the very very bottom - I use it on the top cam slots - on the heavier tanks, this can cause the bottom to shift a bit if you wiggle a little. Ideally, there should be cam slots right in the middle of the STA for optimum stability.

Groovy. :) I think I'll add a pair of bio-locks (cuz, ya gotta LOOK good!) to my wish list.

Oh, one last thing: I have a pair of bullet weights threaded onto my upper cam bands for trim weights. Can you do that with the bio-lock?

I, too, am a fan of the Dive Rite bands with the stainless steel hardware.

Yeah, it uses standard sized cam webbing - so I don't see any reason why you couldn't thread a couple of weights on each side..... the thing cranks down with 100's of pounds of clamping power...it should lock everything down nicely.

I cut slots in my DiveRite Aluminum plate and use only one Scuba Pro cam band (with an STA and single tank).

I did not want to mess with two bands... using either the top or the bottom slot (alone) would not have worked well for me.

I've got a pair of the older style Halcyon cam bands that I'll sell you for $60 if you want them.

I'm a big fan of the cambands that are on my Eclipse. :) (Halcyon)
