Which brass pressure gauge?

I am planning on buying a brass pressure gauge. I want it to be DIR so it will have to have 100 PSI incriments. I also know that Scubapro, Dive Rite, & Halcyon make this type of presure gauge. Which company makes the better gauge or are they all the same? Have I missed any other companies? Comments? Please respond. Thanks.

Not sure if this qualifies as "DIR" because I'm not sure there are many requirements for an SPG to be DIR....But here goes...

It's actually kind of odd that the larger version of the OMS has 200 psi markings.

I think they are all about the same. I have ScubaPro gauges simply because I got a good deal on them. The small OMS gauges are nice too. ScubaPro makes a mini brass gauge that is pretty neat.

Brass and glass pressure gauges are all about the same. The Dive Rite is nice, my buddy has one, and that will most likely be the one I get next, because my Uwatec Master Diver PG has been reading a little off lately. I also have the smaller OMS gauges too, and they work fine, however for back gas, I prefer a 2 inch face for easier reading. BTW, www.diveriteexpress.com has the Dive Rite one for $109.

If I'm not mistaken, the OMS, Halcyon and Scubapro SPG's are all made in the same factory.

We're not talking rocket science here. Get the cheapest one you can find with 100 psi markings - you're good to go.

. . . that I will buy an OMS gauge because they are considerably cheaper. One question though, what is the most popular size for a spg? I believe the OMS is 2 inches. Is this large enough? Anyone know where OMS is made? Please respond. Thanks.

The 2inch is the standard. THere also is a mini, which I believe is 1.5 inch diameter. Also, I believe the OMS gauges are made in Italy, like most of them are.

here is some stuff i found on a german DIR web site:
The SPG sould be a robust, reliable and easy to read instrument. unfortunately there are more and more products in the marked that are made of plastic and do not meet the requirements of exploration diving. the rubber protection cab must be remived. underneath humidity and dirt collects to shorten the instruments life. Furthermore the visual controll of the swifel is not possibel with the cap. Even more redicolouse are modells with an "unbreakable" Lexan cover. the cover is, most of the time, cramped down on for points and is blown out in one piece sometimes. (see picture below).
SPG´s are available in two sizes. the big ones are for the back-tanks - the smaller ones are for the use on stage regulators.
The best ones are made out of metall (brass) with a tempered glass. the glass should be a little bit below the frame, were it is best protected.
