I don't know what part of Dallas you're in, but FWIW, Surface Interval Scuba in Arlington is now an authorized Zeagle Dealer. Stop by if you're in the neighborhood, I'm sure Debra and Troy can fix you up as well.

Jarrett:
I just went and tried on a Scuba Pro Nighthawk at another LDS and it felt really comfortable. Has anyone had both a Zeagle and a Nighthawk? Would you mind giving opinions on the two? Thanks.

We have both in stock... so you can compare them side by side if you wish. And after doing that... pretty sure Scott will be able to buy himself lunch. ;)

There are a bunch of real big guys on here testifying to liking their 35 lbs bladders, on their Brigades and Scouts, etc.

44 lbs is a lot of lift!

I'm not your size but use my LTD with double steel 100s and a 30 pony all the time. Used triples with it once... lots of lift.

Although a Tech 65lbs bladder is another option.

Wow, thanks for all the info guys. I will swing by ScubaToys and check them out.

One question though. I still kinda like the integrated inflator/octo idea. On the Knighthawk with the Air2, it had a right shoulder air dump that could be used with the Air2 octo to avoid the need to take the octo out of your mouth in order hold the inflator tube up to release air. If I went with a Zeagle and their integrated inflator/octo, is there a similar system for releasing air without having to remove the octo from your mouth to do so? Thanks.

I'm about 6'2 and 280 and have a Knighthawk XL. Fits fine with a 7mm suit. Most likely could also wear a XXL, but the XL really has enough space for me. Really like it, is quite comfortrable, definitly reccomended.

I am a big guy also. I had a Zeagle. I have a Scubapro Knighthawk. I presently dive with a Dive Rite Trans Pac. Which is great. I am getting ready to buy a Dive Rite Trans Plate. Which is better for dual tanks. I love Dive Rite's Trans Pac and Trans Plate. These are some of the most comfortable and versatile rigs made.

Scott, did you say that Zeagle makes a XXL? I tried one on last night and love the feel. I'm not sure which model I tried on, but I know I like it, especially that the cumerbumb is adjustable.

Thanks
Tricia

Jarrett,

I know there is at least one Zeagle dealer in Dallas (Scuba Toys), so hopefully you can drive over and try on the Zeagle BCs. I echo the concern of whether or not a 44lb bladder will be enough for you, but I'm sure that Larry will steer you in the direction that is right for you. If you can try both BCs on, you can make an informed decision on which one feels the best and suits your needs!

Good luck!!

Scott

We have BCs up to XXL, but we have made BCs up to a XXXXXXXL (that's 7XL for those of you who don't want to count X's!)

Glad to hear that you liked product! The expandable waist panels make it really nice for folks like me, who seem to "grow" with age! ;)

WOW... 7 X's... would make a person wonder if it were safe for that size of person to dive with... let alone how much weight they'd have to carry!
