As we get nearer the dive season I'm starting to really jones for a dive. I'm scheduled to ice dive this Sunday but I'm really feeling the need to get out on the Great Lakes. So to whet our appetites a little, why doesn't everyone list where in the Great Lakes they plan on diving?

So far I'm scheduled to dive the Dunderberg again in Lake Huron. Can't wait. I'll also will be returning to the Straits, Sanilac UWP, and hopefully the Chicago/Waukegon area. Beyond that I'm hoping to dive the St. Clair river more this year. I also want to dive both ends of Lake Erie. I want to return to the Willis in the Western Basin and also hit the east end of the lake since I keep hearing good things about it.

And I'm really excited about taking the MAST class I've signed up for. That is supposed to be a great course and I think it will really enhance my appreciation of wreck diving in the Great Lakes.

I hope to get in as much diving as possible before the arrival of our first baby due early in July. Something tells me our diving will slow down considerably then. :D

Last week of August we're going to Tobermory!

Well soo far we will be diving in Tobermory this spring...Memorial Day...Best time to go my opinion. Also Sanilac a lot because it it right in my back yard! along with the thumb preserve. Also plan on doing thunder bay and the straits.

Boynton Beach in Early April
Wreck Course at Haigh and Lake Michigan in June-July
N. Channel Islands (Anacapa and Santa Cruz) in July
Lake Huron (Sanilac) in Aug
Hope to add another GL charter or two
Lots of local quarry dives to continue to work on my skills

What's that?

In early June, I'll be diving Door County. Looking forward to that. Some local Lake Michigan charters as well, hopefully Milwaukee too. Lots of quality time at the local quarry to fill things in. No warm water in the horizon at this point.

Boynton Beach Florida,
Florida Keys wrecks
Lake Michigan most weekends Milwaukee to Door County and every wreck between and North-

The child will slow you down a bit,but well worth it!
A thought I have now is being on a hang and looking up to see my (2)sons looking down on me from the boat bow,Priceless!
and if you ever make it North of Milwaukee hit me up- as Dean says we have some great wreck diving on the Western side on the big pond

What's that?

Maritime Archaeological Survey Team holds courses each year in nautical archaeology. I've heard it's a great course.

From their website - "MAST, the Maritime Archaeological Survey Team is a nonprofit avocational group dedicated to the documentation of Ohio's underwater historic resources. Formed in March of 2000, MAST is composed of volunteer individuals who support and participate in research, documentation, underwater archaeological surveys, and educational workshops."
