the tropical area of Haigh Quarry...Kankakee Illinois....

i know ..you all are jealous ;)

I took OW classes at Rochester Institute of Technology last spring with Dom then made 4 required dives at Dutch Springs in PA. My goodness, I love Dutch Springs, a perfect place for all dives with various levels! If you are curious, then go: http://www.dutchsprings.com/ :D

This coming fall, I will be taking AOW! :eyebrow:

Puget Sound...Washington...West Seattle...Alki Point.

I was so stoked that I never really got cold. So far all of my dives have been cold water. Looking to do some warm water soon.

Mine Pits in Northern Minnesota. It was in October and it was snowing on the surface so it was warmer under water.

I still go back every week from April through October to this day!

Mango Bay.
Koh Tao (Turtle Island) off the East Coast of Thailand.

My fiance and I in 4 feet of crystal blue 82 degree water, beautiful day, friendly instructor (later a freind outsied of the water, too)..............

But then came the feeder fish. Both of us had recently sustained injuries on our legs from a motorcyle accident (my fault), and the fish found our scabs to be a Thanksgiving feast.
The poor instructor tried to describe deflation and inflation of the BS while I yelped and howled in the backgroud.
Slapping my legs and cursing, the other students figured I had contracted a quick and powerful case of Terets.

Eventually, the instuctor swam back to the boat and got some fied dressing to cover my wound.

What a day.

My first OW dive(s) was a discover scuba course in Grand Cayman. The first dive was the Wreck of the Oro Verde at about 35ft, the second was at a spot called Eagle Ray Pass at about 60ft. After my first dive the DM came to me and said that I was now offically ruined for life because "You popped your diving cherry on a Cayman Wreck dive with 125ft vis. and it doesn't get any better than that." Although the comment was a little crude it was very true. :crafty:

After that I came home and immediatly enrolled on an OW class. I completed my OW certification dive at Divers Cove in Laguna Beach, CA.

My OW cert dives were at the Cartanzer Sr. 45 mins off of St. Thomas, USVI on June 29 of this year. This past weekend I started working on my DM stuff, and I am already going broke from buying scuba gear (so I guess I like it - a lot!).
