What would you all recommended for a resort, the Henry Morgan or Fantasy Island? Both are about the same cost for an all inclusive trip. We will be diving 5 days out of 7. Any suggestions would be great!

We haven't been to Fantasy Island recently, but we were at Henry Morgan Resort in May and it was really good. The location on West Bay Beach is gorgeous. They have a huge pool that is well-kept and inviting. They don't entertain cruise ship guests, so their hotel guests have the beach area and chairs to themselves. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return after we visit their sister property, Media Luna Resort, on the south side of the island.

You didn't say what time of year you will be traveling...that would make a difference in where you might prefer to stay...

In the blue menu bar at the top of this thread click Search Thread then type in either name for recent reviews/comments.
Some friends stayed at Fantasy Island about 3-4 years ago now. The diving was good, the food was average and the rooms needed work - and hot water. FIBR just did major renovations but from I read it was mostly to the public areas. Some of the more recent threads indicate they still need work. It's a pretty old property and I can think of at least 3 management/ownership changes in the past 5-7 years. Supposed to be a good dive staff though.
Henry Morgan might be a better choice logistically being in West Bay since there's more to see/do there besides diving. And most of the nightlife is in the West End - 2 miles away by water taxi/taxi. Don't walk back at night though. Also some good dining options if you tire of HMR food. West Bay beach is also one of the nicest on Roatan. FIBR and Cocoview across the channel from it are more isolated.
