I want to get a camera or video recorder but cannot decide which way to go. Who has the best value for the buck buying digital?

What is your price range. Are you under 1000. 2500-5000 or more?

What are you using the system for? What do you want to accomplish? What editing and computer system do you have? Do you want new or used?

Are you diving cold water and dark or warm water and light?

How often do you dive during the year?

All of these questions will help me help you.

I need to know more information on what you want....

Under $1000 if I can get in for around $500 this would be great.
We want to be able to show our friends pictures of our dives. I have top of the line computers. Core 2 quad processors 6 gig ram. New - Used I don't know.
We dive in Destin Fla for the most part. So warm water.
We dove around 20 times this year.

I am thinking about the SeaLife DC800

I am not as familiar with the SeaLife entry camera as I am with the Bonica entry level camera. It is available for just under 1000 and shoots high def. It is a little bit shaky on land without a tripod, but the value for dollar, and if you are looking to just fare with friends, I think you would enjoy it.

You might want to check out The Camera Coach, Your Guide to Creating Underwater Video before you inves your money into a camera and housing. It covers a lot of information about shooting, editing and decision making with your unit.

It is a whole lot of fun~!!!!
