Where to late January? Diving (+ culture / nature)

Hello fellow divers!

Planning next trip for end of January, wondering if you had any places to recommend in Asia (or actually in the Pacific or Indian Ocean)?

Somewhere where it would be also possible to do cultural activities would be great.

Have been already to Fiji, Indonesia (Bali, Sulawesi), Philippines (Moalboal, Puerto Galera), Malaysia (KK and Pulau P), Red Sea (Jordan), Thailand (Koh Lanta).

Appreciate your advice.

Koh Tao, Thailand should be coming into full glory after their monsoon season around December. May I also recommend you expand your horizons and book a cenote diving trip to the Mexican cenotes in the Playa de Carmen area (e.g. search Scubaboard and the internet for "Under the Jungle" dive centre and check out a YouTube video about "The Pit".)

Late January I would look at a LOB to Richelieu Rock/Koh Tachai and Koh Bon (usually you also get to dive Similan).

Lots of nature and culture to be found in Thailand (not to mention the good food)

Or go to Raja Ampat - lots of amazing nature and fantastic diving.

Save the money and attend The Goroka Show in Sept 2020 in PNG.
Diving is also fabulous in that country albeit a bit expensive.

The Mergui Archipelago in Myanmar with a trip on the mainland (Bagan, Inle Lake, Yangon) is a nice combination.

In the Mergui Archipelago there are great dive sites like Western Rocky, Boulder Rock, Pink Canyon, South Twin, ....

There are a few resorts now which offer Scuba Diving.
