Sorry, this question again, but i got sick of reading those threads in English.
well, I'm currently working in Korea and soon will quit my job and undertake all the dive courses to be an instructor. (my current certi is AOW)
I want to do it from June, and my current candidate destinations are Thailand, Roatan and Philippines. I know it's kind of "everywhere".
I want to go somewhere;
living cost is inexpensive
nice weather (from JUNE to AUGUST)
possible to get a job after finishing IDC
and other things that any other people want

thanks!!

Hi jisoo,
Welcome aboard!

I would expect my instructor to be comfortable reading English since most documentation and research in the diving industry is usually in English. You probably also would find that no matter where you work you are going to be dealing with English speaking students and divers so with all due respect, get used to it. English is not my first language either and I understand that other languages are sometimes tough to deal with, but I really think that you'd do yourself a favor by not giving up on this so easily. There is a lot on the forums here that is of great value and fortunately it is all in English so everyone can understand so we can all learn from each other.

I'm not a big fan of zero to hero instructor programs but that is altogether another debate. As to where would be a good place to go, I'd leave that advice to someone on the board here that is either in your local area, or someone who is more familiar with OWSI programs in your planned destinations to give you some accurate advice.

Thank you for your kind advice, Melicertes. It needs time to read things in English. I'll get used to it. Yes, it seems more useful to do it in English. I got certified in my lanuguage, Korean in Thailand but soon I noticed I should have learn in English as long as I don't dive only in Korea.
Well, I kind of set my mind- going to Honduras, and check it how's the water there. I've been in Thailand and Philippines, so I think it's time to try somewhere else. It would not be easy, but I'll just try. Well, Thanks.
Btw, it's really fotuate for me to use English that I can use this website!

Hi Jisoo,
I agree it is good for you to use the site and learn to use more English. Good luck with your plans. :)

Languages are a BIG THING in the instructor world, more so than your recreational instructor rating.

My best advice to you, do your IDC in a place where Koreans go to learn to dive, then you will have a lot of work.

I spent a lot time in Utila and Roatan, the only asians I saw/heard were Japanese.

i did my idc in thailand. the shop i did it with had its own korean and japanese divisions and i know they had all the instructor materials in those languages. i dont think idcs are run in korean but one of the examiners spoke korean so you are allowed to do it in your own language.

thanks for your comments, guys. well, my question was not about languages though.
