I went down to Grand Bahamas a few years ago and did the dolphin dive with Unexso. The dive masters got two dolphins to do silly tricks with the divers underwater like kissing you when you remove your regulator. It was fun. Now that my partner is certified, she wants to do the dolphin dive too. Does anybody know if there are other places besides Grand Bahamas to do dolphin dives?

Well, this might be a little far off for you, but I can think of the best and my favourite place:

Dolphin Reef, Eilat, Israel.

Know the people, they're really nice. If you want, you fly in from TLV, drive (or fly) down to Eilat, chill with the dolphins, then hop in the car again, cross the border, and drive down to Sharm.

Might work... who knows.

BTW, Welcome to scuba board!!!

Roatan has a captive dolphin dive program. So does Palau, and I'm sure there are several others. If you'd like to snorkel with wild dolphins -- less of a sure thing but much more inspiring IMO -- look into Hawaii and Bimini.

Are the dolphin dives in Roatan, Palau (and Isreal) like the ones with Unexso where they get the dolphins to do silly tricks (the dolphin kiss, dolphin petting while underwater, etc.) with you while underwater? The tricks are silly but are great photo ops.

Good places to interact with Dolphins....

Near Marsa Alam, Egypt there is reef called Dolphin Reef or Shaab Samadai. This is a horseshoe shaped reef which creates a shallow turquoise water lagoon where a large herd of spinner dolphins live permanently.

It used to be possible to scuba dive with the dolphins but this is now restricted to snorkeling in an area near the dolphins home. You cannot enter the area close to their home even when snorkeling. Also you cannot duck dive when snorkeling this area.

Another good place is Monkey Mia in Western Australia. Dolphins come very close into shore and allow human interaction. Although again this is not a dive site.

Hope this is of some interest!

I believe they still do diving with dolphins at Chakanaab park in Cozumel.
At least with Coz you have alot of great diving besides the dolphin dive.
