I question the premise...
West Palm, Jupiter--neither is hard to find. Jupiter dives, and ops, tend to be a bit more into "advanced" and deeper dives than WPB. Both are good drift dive places.
Pensacola, if you head west..good wreck diving, even better if the Mighty O finally gets sunk.

Acutally, I'm Dave....
High Springs, Florida. North-Central part of the State. 40 min N of Gainesville. Look at Ginnie Springs or Peacock State Park. There is open water diving to be had there as well as cave and cavern diving.

Quit complaining. You live in FLORIDA for crying out loud. Do you have to dive under the ice just to get wet in February? I guess it is all perspective.
