Hi Billy,
I would think anywhere you dive from the beach you can dive with a boat just a lot easier. You can go up to OML & dive the point w/o climbing over the rocks or go down to Laguna & dive there w/o climbing down all them stairs. If you need an extra body just PM me.

Have you been to emerald cove? I've heard it's a great spot. I think OML is a little far north for us, we want to stay close to the harbor. I'm not sure yet but we might be at capacity, because we don't have a compressor, I want to limit it to 4 divers because each one will need to bring 2 tanks. We're only going to take 2 dives. I'm waiting to hear from a few of my buddies, I'll let you know if I can make room.

I've never been to Emerald Cove but have been to Crescent Bay & Shaws Cove. If they're not too far away they're good spots.

Billy,

If you are in Newport, why not just zip on over to Catalina for a day or the weekend and get some fellow bubble blowers to divide up the fuel bill?

I would be up for weekend trips and subsidizing your copious fuel bill.
