I'm based in London and planning a dive trip to Mozambique, hopefully September or October.

Mozambique seems to have 2 or 3 main dive sites: Ponta Do Ouro+Malonge and Inhambane+Tofo

Having a hard time deciding where to base myself for diving. I am just interested in good diving as both sites seem to promise both sharks, pelagics, and good reef life. I do have a preference for whales although I know those are hard to come by. Appreciate if anyone has advice on:

1. Is this a good month to go diving?
[It seems fine as long as its before November]

2. Best way to travel there from London, UK
[London to Maputo seems the best]

3. How many days should I spend diving and should I explore other areas?
[I am unsure about this but I would imagine a week to do 15 dives (5x3) seems the best

4. Any recommended operators?

5. What else do you recommend doing in the area? Sometimes I just spend the entire holiday diving and realise I missed out on a few cultural gems, or did not explore as many dive sites as I should.

6. Just in general how well do you recommend Mozambique? I had considered doing the Red Sea again, or Durban, or Mauritius, previously but settled on Mozambique.

Thanks in advane!
