I am looking to find water proof alphabet stickers with letters & numbers for labeling my tanks I own. I was thinking of just labeling them w/ my initials on the side of each tank.
Id like to get stickers large enough so I can easily spot my tanks, and also the stickers need to be able to handle the water w/ out peeling off.

I tried a few label printers, but they are just too easy to peel off, and dont seem to last long.

Any ideas on what others have done would be appreciated;

Lowes or Home Depot. The stickers designed for mailboxes. They stick to my aluminum 40's just fine.

I have a stable of 22 tanks and they are all numbered so that i could tell if something came up missing as well as to help track my service records. A big Sharpie works great. anything you stick on that tank like a sticker has to come off during the annual visual so that the inspector and visualize that the sticker is not covering a defect

A note on Home Depot/Lowes stickers. I get mine from there, but I've had a few that stick great, reflect great, but the numbers rub right off. Just something to watch out for.

Marine hardware stores carry stickers that are used for marking boats. They work equally well on scuba tanks.

I would get some stencils at your local Staples/Office Depot and spray the letters on. Nothing to peel, nothing to be reapplied after every vis.

^^^ this, or get a paint-pen from your local hardware store and mark them that way; otherwise you'll be reapplying stickers every time you get a tank inspected ....
