I use two coiled lanyards that snap to a short length. When I'm not using the camera or need my hands I can clip it within 6 inches of my chest (one on each D-ring). You can also use the bolt snaps. A couple of heavy duty tie wraps around your tray and through the swivel base will give you security. ALWAYS use two. I've had three people who hung their extremely expensive cameras from a single bolt snap have to do a second search and rescue dive after it was lost off the boat lanyard. Two recovered, one contributed to Neptune. Make sure your camera is negative or it will float in your face.
