I have been to Cozumel and Loved the food in town. I used Cristi's list Cozumel Diving: Blue XT SEA Diving, Cozumel Mexico For most of my selection last time.
I went to the restaurants listed below, well the ones that I can remember.

Sonora Grill
El Pique
Casa Denis
La Mission on 30th

I guess I am looking for any restaurants that you would say I can not miss either on her list or not. I am not looking for a fancy atmosphere just good food. Also I would like to keep it under $15 per person. Any help would be great.

Thanks
Ryan

just have some fun with variety and just start going to new places. Thats what we did 10 years ago and we hit at least 2 new places along with our favorites during our two 10 day trips each year. Now we have so many favorites that we dont get to them all.........lol Start by searching out where the locals eat..

go to la choza.

Los Otates, El Foco

El Foco on Ave 5 near the square has excellent food. Similar to El Pique.

I think the new La Choza has a much different feel than the old, but is still really nice and definately worth a visit. I tried the mustard fish, per ggunn's suggestion and it was incredible.

Camilos for great seafood, a couple doors down from Kintas on 5th ave.

Kintas is a must. A bit more expensive by Coz standards (but not U.S.) and worth it. Eat outside in the garden.

La Conchita del Caribe is back into town (Ave. 65) but has great seafood. It closes at 7:30, so go early.

Sonora Grill Ave 15 and Juarez, great local fare.

Oh man I'm getting hungry! I love the food threads!!

I wouldn't miss the San Carlos Pescaderia (seafood market) located on Avenida 50 Bis between Calle 3 and Calle 5. Excellent octopus ceviche and fried fish served in the little back garden of this fish market.

It's probably best to take a taxi there. My gf and I ended up walking back to the waterfront area after a great meal there.

That sounds great! Haven't been there. Do you know what their hours are?

Sorry, I don't know their hours. Perhaps you could get the front desk person at your hotel to call and ask.

We made two attempts to eat at San Carlos. The first time we went it was closed. :( We ended up going to a restaurant one block away which was also very good. Coincidentally, we were the only non-locals in both restaurants. (Just the way we like it.)

Even with my limited experience (so far!), the answer to your question is, way more places than you have a chance to visit! To the great suggestions above, and maybe for a change of pace, I absolutely adored the food at Midori Sushi (Calle AR Salas Sur between Avenida 15 & 20) and Rock'n Java Thai Noodle Bar (Rock 'n Java Thai Noodle Bar). And the fish tacos at Coconuts on the east side seemed divine, but it might have been the view, the company, and the Dos XX.... ;-)
