OK, so I ordered a Whites Nexus II from my LDS on January 4th 2006. I still havent seen it yet. I have been checking in with the LDS weekly and for the first few weeks I got the standard answer of it is on order and should be here in the next week or so.

I am a patient man and accept this answer for the first two weeks. Around the 20th The LDS called me and said John, are you sitting down? I said I am now. He continues with..."Well I normally joke about this but this time I am not joking. Your suit is stuck in customs. The shell cleard customs and should be here around the 1st of the month. But the under-garment and boots were made in a contry that the US is not friendly with and they are being held. The rep from Whites is going to speak with customs this week and try to get it sorted out."

Damn you us customs!!! and what? is the undergarment made of Cuban cigars or something?

end of rant!

John

Wow, wish I were you, I've been waiting since the beginning of December for my drysuit, and I should have it by Feb, 16th.

I sure hope your undies aren't made from Cuban cigars!

If they are, you'd better be praying real hard that your suit doesn't leak, because if it does, you're really gonna stink!!!!

(I hope for you that it's settled soon)

My DiveCon is on bended knee praying his new drysuit will arrive from Whites before next weekends checkouts. I wonder if he'll see this thread, maybe I should send him the link, yeah, that's what I'll do.

Your LDS is lying. They never ordered your suit when they claimed to. They are liars.

Man, I hope they are lying. I really, really do.

Thanks Al. I could have gone the rest of the day without knowing this.....

You know I always take care of the Dive Cons Dave :)

BTW I'm diving Lost Creek with Courtney tomorrow afternoon, we'll leave the shop at 1pm.

Well, I believe they have 30days to deliver, then they have to give you a chance to cancel with no charges. Might be easier to go that route and order elsewhere.

Nice Al, saving Joe for me?
Well Dave you did mention that Joe looked super in a wetsuit but never mentioned anything about Courtney so I figured Joe's your guy.

It was Joe right?

I had a similar experience. The problem is that the stores typically over commit since they can not guarantee what the Manufacturer, the shipping company or the Government will do. It is frustrating since you spent a bunch of money and the dry suit ends up being weeks late. But hang in there it is nice being warm.
