Interesting shot. The substantial headlands in the distance, the barrier reef, the long shallow area inside the reef, and the buoy off to the right remind me of several places I've been. I don't want to guess because I'm afraid I might hit it by sheer luck and have to go digging through old slides again. Some of my more recent are from the British Virgins and from Puerto Rico's two lovely east coast islands, but I'm just making a casual observation. I've not been to nearly as many places in Asia/Pacific, as you have. That buoy nags at me, though; it suggests it's not a remote undeveloped spot.

Hey Agilis, good point. This is one of those once remote locals undergoing massive developement for the tourist trade. Once a haven for divers, now a major beach destination, too bad. Hopefully the developers / government will protect their mangroves, and be careful of drainage impacting the reefs.

One Clue, it is closer to Anguilla than Utila

I have a strong suspicion, but perhaps I'm rhong. A lot of water between Utila and the eel. Somebody is certain to get this one.

Ok here is another shot from the same location......
