Quero,
Once again you are right, Kenting National Park, Taiwan, and that's the main beach, viewed from the beach bar. Nice little town for a weekend, and easy access to some good diving both off boats and off shore
The parrot, a slight red herring, but seemed fitting after Augk's pelican -- never quiet sure who owned the parrot as it would fly around the bay, and on a couple of occasions saw it at the beach bar - the owners of which were also oblivious who owned it, though someone obviously did as it was as healthy as can be. The rock formation - maybe a hint at volcanic history i that area, as Taiwan does have a lot of seismic activity, daily earthquakes, plenty of hot springs, sulphur flumes etc. Earlier this year I dived at 'Turtle Island' (up the N/E coast) - into an area where on sea bed there are numerous active sulphur vents/hot springs, and surprisingly quiet a lot of life there. Quite a weird dive with some areas of the water boling - literally.
Over to you.
