Hi

im just about to finish school and am taking a gap year before university.

i plan to spend a few months snowboarding, but want to spend from mis april to mid september diving. during this time i would like to become a dive master and work as one.

i am looking for quite a lively place, but not somewhere that is completely overrun by tourists. at teh moment im leaning towards south east asia, but for no real reason in particular,

can anyone recomend where to go

thankyou

Guy

hey guy,

thailand has a whole heap of places to choose from, Kih Tao is a fabulous little island but there is also Krabi and Koh Lanta. You will be spoiled for choice.

I'll second Thailand, then go down through Malaysia and onto Indonesia (Bali/Lombok)

From what i remember (alcohol hazy...) of doing all that stuff i had a blast!

I got certified at Ko Pha Ngan, Ko Tao is very good for the dive schools, could also try Raileigh Beach near Krabi. Stay away from Phuket though...very touristy

i like the thought of starting in thailand and working my way down through SE asia.

once you are a divemaster how easy is it to get work? and is it a case of teh more qualifications you have the easier it is to get a job (like having MSD as well as DM).

also can anyone reccomend a good Dive Op

thanks
guy
