Born in the San Francisco Bay Area, back when you could afford to live there. Moved about 40 miles to the east 14 years ago because we couldn't afford it any more.
Haven't found a good reason to leave. Want to go to the beach, drive an hour and a half west. Want snow, go two hours east. Besides, just when you start to get bored with it all, an earthquake will rearrange it for you. :waaaa:

My Dad was stationed at Tinker AFB, I was the proverbial military brat up until the time I joined the Navy.

It all depends on your point of view I guess. Living someplace is much more enlightening than visiting. You learn about people and lifestyles, not just restaurants and hotels and tourist traps.
You also get hooked up with local divers and get to go to the sites you never read about but are way better than where the commercial operations take you.

Columbia (birth till @2)
Venezuela (2-3)
Idaho (3)
California (4)
Louisiana (5-6)
Florida (7 till present) (yeah, semi-native)

It seems to me that there are more, but ever since I moved here I have had a hard time counting them all... :tease:

I've lived in:

Phenix City, AL (1963-81)
Camp Lejuene, NC (1981-85)
Phenix City, AL (1985-present)

And I live within a mile of the house I grew up in.

Now places I've visited is a different story.
