Where in Chicago is the best to get certified?

My husband really wants to take the lessons here at home in Chicago and dive on vacations. I want to pay for the class for his birthday. Can you recommend one place over another?

The only remaining shop I know about, that is at all convenient to downtown, is Underwater Safaris on North Lincoln Ave, near the Wellington and Southport intersection. There might be a shop in Hyde Park, I think there used to be one, at least. If you are in the suburbs, there are other options, but the only one I have had any experience with is Scuba Systems in Skokie. I've never taken a class at either, but I know the people at UW safaris pretty well, and have no problem recommending them for classes.
