I solo'd off of Hollywood Beach this morning. Got a good parking spot, geared up and toes in the water before sunrise. As I was walking further out with the low tide, the sun peeked over the horizon. Swam a minute or two and dropped down to blue silence. Peace. Meandered my way over to the rockpile and did a REEF ID, getting at least 30 fish in the first 20 minutes. Continued my swim east to the concrete "yellow brick road." Couple times I drifted off it to investigate some rocks and other stuff that caught my eye. Eventually I made it to the end, about 22ft deep. Meandered back finding more and more fish to add to the ID list.
Of note, a juvenile green sea turtle who did not want anything to do with me or my camera, some tarpon who did some close passes, and a longsnout seahorse.

Awesome long dive time. No issues with tidal changes with this long time?

Nope! Off the beach no need to worry about tides.
Only real issue is getting out. The sand can be soft and it's easy to fall. If you take your time and feel the waves, no matter how small, and time your next step, it's possible not to play beached whale.

Returned to Butler Bay, dive plan was to visit all 5 wrecks plus the HydroLab. There was a boat moored to the Deep Wrecks buoy so getting an initial bearing was much easier. Set off on a brisk surface swim at bearing 330. Arrived over the anchor of the Coakley Bay tug in it's sand patch after 15 minutes. It looked like the boat had retrieved divers and was doing a surface interval. Descended and visited the tug. The bow of the tug is seaward, and a very short distance from the Suffolk Maid freighter. Visibility was poor, as I could not see the stern of the freighter from the bow, ~50ft or maybe less. Visited the sand at 103ft under the stern, then continued around, over, and out the ramp. Took a compass bearing at 195 and set off for the Rosa Marie for a full circuit, and a tour of the deck. Compas bearing 190 from the mooring rope, and another short swim to the Shallow wrecks where I was 3 weeks ago. Due to time spent around the Suffolk Maid, I was rapidly running out of NDL, so I took a 135 bearing and headed for the Home Reef to give a nice finish and spend extra time between 20 and 10 feet and get my SurfGF well below 70.
Weather - thunder storm. Visibility 40' at the end of the dive. Surf - negligible. Water Temp - too warm, left the shorty at home. Dive time 83min plus 15 minute surface swim. Max depth 103.
Critters - Barracuda all over the place, several Hawksbill turtle.

I can only dream of 50 feet of vis. 10 feet is a great day here. I am jelly.

^^ LOL, I was thinking the same thing.. though vis is considered poor here at 10 off the beach. Good vis off the beach is 30-40....

Dove today in brockville, ontario Fantastic Day ! The dive shop fill out my tanks at 2700 psi ! And i use the second tank to top off my poney cause i use it for some drill on the first dive. So i was like at a 2500 psi for the second dive. (i. told the dive shop for the fills..)

It was my first time using a transfill whip that i bought. I really like it. Easy to use (thank you, you tube 🤭).

So it was two dive of 35 minutes max depth was 28 ft. Water was 17,6 celcius and air was 31 celcius. I drop off two pounds trim and buoyancy is much better. i am wondering if i could get to 10 pounds total being at 12 now. I am using a AL80 and a AL 30. All wetsuit gear is 7 mm.

At one point being by my self i was concentrated of checking the bottom and i run into two other divers😂😂. No one was injured and we had a laught underwater. we meet on shore afterwards they told me they could not understand i was not paying attention to them even being so close they tought i was on something. 😂😂😂 I swear didnt saw them until i was in there face 😂😂😂 He had a good laught and it was all good.

Next day of diving will be june 14th.

Be safe all
