Lil' Irish Temper:
I have a set of Scott's spring straps, and he makes a quality product ~

Hope you enjoy yours, like I do mine :)

Don't forget Boogie makes them also: http://www3.sympatico.ca/chatterton/springstraps.html

Thanks for the plug, but unfortunately, my design won't work for Jet Fins. If you need spring straps for just about any other type of fin (Mares, Aqualung, Cressi, etc) I think mine are fantastic (well, duh! :D ), but I don't have buckles for Jet Fins.

The set from http://www.spring-straps.com/ are great on my Jets and as soon as the set I ordered for my Cressi's from Boogie711 gets here :D .............

Halcyon straps on my Turtles and Jets, Boogies straps on my Quattros. :D

BlueDolphin:
Time to get some spring straps. I like the Halcyon connectors.... but are they THE straps to get?

I use turtle fins, and so my straps are only around 8". I understand you can cut the springs if need be to fit.

Where is a good source for the straps?

The Halcyon attachment functions in the same way as the original scubapro buckle and seems to hold up just fine. Personally, I prefer the solid wire piece that you bend into the molded part of the fin. I have both, the original farrallon spring straps on an older set of jets which I use most of the time because it has the nicer rubber piece around the spring and a pair of Halcyon ones on a newer set of jets. The Halcyon pin system has held up fine, it just does not "look" as good to me. If I needed more spring straps and was willing to go to the hassle of trying out all of the other designs I might do that. But, the Halcyon one does seem to work well too. The real shame is that oceanic quit making the farallon ones.

Got my for USD35 + USD9.25 for shipping to Thailand.

It would cost me around USD70 to get the Halcyon one here in Thailand.

Now waiting for it to arrive.

Got my order today and attached it onto my new SP JET. Have to say they rock. :14:

Recommended if anyone interested in getting their spring straps.

Can't wait to get underwater and check it out.

Anyone else notice that the "winning bidder" on the ebay auction paid $41 for the straps w/ $7 shipping? If they would have used the posted site link in the auction description, they could have purchased them on the spot for $37+$5 S&H. Bargain hunters are funny sometimes.
