Where did all the Flathead 7s go?

Related to my earlier post, I'm trying to get a handle on the differences between the Flatheads and DSs.

Just noticed, though, that while you can find quite a few used FH-VI adn DS regs on the market I have yet to see a used FH-7.

Any particular reason for this?

Not as many made would be my guess, the 8 is a better option overall the 6 is good if you need a few pounds mounted up high for trim.
