I dove today in a local quarry where I normally come across brim, bass and the occasional turtle. This is the first time for me to dive during winter months so I don't know anything about fish behavior during these months. The temp was a steady 46 degrees all the way to 60 ft. I never felt the usual thermocline at 25 ft. I was proud of my 7 mil suit as it kept me warm, my hood did ok until I equalized my mask and flooded my hood (ouch :shocked2
Other than that, this was the most boring dive ever. I did not see one fish, or any kind of creature at all. The only thing I saw was a mussel. Are the fish in deeper water, hibernating or what? Still, a boring dive is way more thrilling than sitting at home
