Recently I returned from a dive vacation in Bonaire. (The ScubaBoard trip at the Plaza Bonaire.) This was my first experience with unlimited diving, with tanks always available and lots of opportunities for shore dives. It was fabulous, and I made the most of it!

I'd love to do something like that again, but it would be fun to try a different location. Where else have you found a package deal that included unlimited diving? What places would you recommend?

I'm looking forward to your recommendations.

I love Bonaire as well!

CoCoView, Roatan. 4 tanks off of great boats, Unlimited great shore dive with shipwreck, dc3 airplane and two walls within 3 minutes flipper of your room.

Dive-Eat-Sleep, repeat.

6 a day gets me exhausted.

What RoatanMan said.

What about a liveaboard?

Tritto on CCV.

I was real pleased with Marsa Alam, egypt. Wasn't Indonesia, but the house reef kept us going 3-5 dives a day for a week, no trouble. Zodiacs would take us somewhere and dump us and we'd then have the choice of either being picked up later or just making our own way in thropugh the boat channel. Plus they had jeep diving as well some of it free some you had to pay a little extra for.

CCV?

Could you give a little more information?
Tri(Ditto) on CCV(Cocoview)

It's what everybody who's been there calls it.

Is that Waimea Canyon on Kaui in your photo?

Try Divetech or Sunset House on Grand Cayman. They usually offer AI deals. Actually so do a lot of the other resorts/condos there - most of them have a package deal with some dive outfit locally. And the diving is better than Bonaire. As much small stuff but a great deal more big stuff. With better viz imho.

Some other good sources of AI/Package deals.

Try a liveaboard. We have had great consistent quality from the Aggressor Fleet.

You stay on board for a week, diving every day. 5 dives a day. You set up your gear on a tank only once...at the begining of the trip. No schleping of your gear on/off boats.

When you wake up in the morning, you are moored over the dive site..breakfast, dive, fresh warm towel, warm snacks...another dive....lunch while they move the boat...more diving...totally decadent. Relax in the hot tub with a glass of wine in the evening. Yuck.

The price seems steep until you factor in that the boat includes room, diving, all the food you can eat, vino, and all the pampering you can stand. I think we worked the numbers for diving a week in Grand Cayman, staying on shore, and the cost was identical.

Nobody really believes, until they've actually been on a liveaboard. The company motto is something like "we'll change the way you think about diving", and it's true.

All the best, James
