it is against the law in Florida to fart the national anthem through your snorkel within 50 yds of a bridge on sunday unless ordered by a law enforcement official.

Most places don't actually have "scuba diving laws." N. America, which tends to be law-happy, is a partial exception. In most countries, you can scuba dive if you feel like scuba diving. Your choice. But, if you get into trouble, don't expect much in the way of Search & Rescue. The plane may be in for repairs that day. Or, the pilot may be on holidays ...
