Where's everyone diving this weekend?

8 hours and I'm off to Ginnie/Amigos :D

These will be my second set dives at Ginnie since Apprentice and being allowed to go off the mainline, picking a dive is challenging, so many choices and so little time, can't wait! Any suggestions?

You should go see the bats the long way. Jump on to Hill 400 and start swimming!! It's great dive, you'll see just about every jump on the Hill up the Hillier Tunnel; worm hole, July Springs, Siphon Tunnel, double lines, beetle tunnel. The bats are at about 1350p. Or take the bone room line, check out the big room, run a reel out and see the white room... lots of fun dives in Ginnie :)

We took the Roller coaster to the bats, and did the Bone Room towards the wonder tunnel and white room. I got to see a little of the wonder tunnel, but we missed the jump (Ok, before inkdiver corrects me here, I missed the jump lol), and swam almost all the way to the maple leaf before realizing it lol...now we learned to watch out for the sharp 90deg turn in the line, and jump shortly after wards. I want to go back and see the white room.

Hill 400 sounds like a good idea, we were planning to take that for our dive tonight. It seems a lot of the popular dives are just off of that line, so it'd be good to get really familiar with it.

If you do Hill 400 and get to the end of it with gas left go and take a look at double domes, it is really cool in there and there is a neat little air pocket in the ceiling that you can stick your head in and talk to your buddy. Note: when the hill 400 line ends at the double domes line it is not actually a "T", and make sure you freshen the air in the pocket before you breathe it.

I'll see you out there tonight.

Ah, I thought you were talking Apprentice limits (1 jump). If that's not the case, you have a LOT more options! I haven't made it to the wonder tunnel yet, but it's on my list.

um, since when does apprentice limit to one jump? According to my manual it is no circuits and traverses.

You know why they call it the wonder tunnel, right? Because it is a small tunnel that goes nowhere with nothing to see and the whole time you are wondering why the heck you are in there.

Yeah, I'm joining y'all tonight.

I'm looking in my CDS book, on the apprentice limitations it states "Simple penetrations only (limited to 1 jump); no complex navigation plans...."

I don't have the NACD book but this course outline states that apprentice is limited to one jump?

I can't speak for NACD, just thought they were the same as the CDS.
