I was able to view the video. Pretty impressive. I have heard that divers need to take care around trigger fish when they are nesting. They can do a lot of damage not only with their bite but also because they leave a lot of bacteria that can get infected. I read an article where a diver was bitten by a tritter fish, the bite became infected, and he had a difficult time getting rid of the infection.

Bill

Thanks for the Reply Bill, Yes they get pretty aggressive sometimes... and you know the more time you spend in the water the greater your chances of having something like this occur to you especially when diving in a location for the first time...

I've seen a guy get 8 stitches about his eye from a Titan Trigger... when they are nesting they can be a formidable force! It is also useful to note that their territorial area is like a cone pointing to surface therefore if an unsuspecting diver swims up to escape then they are in fact getting more into it's territory. best advice is to swim away fast but horizontal and down (if possible).

Now Guys, you just need to know how to make Trigger Fish feel nice about themselves and you won't have any problems. In fact, they ARE camera hams. Remember, most are female, so learn from experience with your wives and girlfriends.

Kiss them....

Hmmmm, Drew I think I will leave the kissing to you!!! That was a great video! It reminded me of my first trip to the Galapagos Islands. The sea lions were incredibly friendly and one kept trying to take the dive guides mask off. The sea lion would stop right in front of his face and mouth the mask. It was funny to watch and the dive guide finally had to scare him off.

Bill
