hi all
how does a doc make the decision that enough is enough on HBO treatment?
Reason I ask is I have had one chamber treatment for a type 2 bend (numb hands and foot). The symptoms have partially resolved and I have been told that it would not be in my best interests to do another chamber treatment and that my residual symtoms would resolve in time (weeks? months?)
Is this so? Is it harmful to do a chamber treatment and does that harm outweigh the good of clearing the symptoms of the bends as I had always reads you treat till the symtoms abate?
The thing to bear in mind in this case is that my last dive was 4th Dec, then I flew on 8th Dec and was hit by a few symptoms on the plane so it may be that the time elapsed is too great? i dunno so any steer from people would be great!
