When is the Teric 2 releasing?

What I would like to see more than a Teric 2 would be a Peregrine AI.
(Right now, I have a Teric & a PERDIX AI, but they are both far more than what I really need as a recreational diver and I would sell my PERDIX AI in a proverbial heartbeat and replace it with a Peregrine AI if it was available.)

As well as recording the dive shops location, so you can find it, hung over, the next day.

What would be the point? I ask because while a Peregrine AI might cost less, and be more attractive to the new purchaser, you already have the Teric and Perdix AI. If you traded your Perdix AI for a Peregrine AI, hypothetically, what would you gain? Does the 'far more than you really need' create problems? Messier interface or something?

If they’re both more than what you really need, sell, and downgrade to a Suunto Zoop and no AI.

Sounds like you’re don’t think you’re worthy of having an easy to use, easy to see computer (and a computer that takes a AA battery in the case of the Perdix). In that case, I guess you don’t deserve them at all.

No messier interface. The Perdix Rec Nitrox mode is very simple. It’s like he has a high powered sports car and only uses it for his daily commute.

What I mean (and I think that you know this but are just trolling me) is that I am paying for a LOT of features that as a recreational, vacation diver, I will never use. Paying for the ability to switch breathing gasses mid dive is not money well spent for me. Perhaps you missed the part where I said that if Shearwater introduced a Peregrine with AI, that would meet my needs.

It has nothing to do with whether I think I am "worthy of having an easy to use, easy to see computer (and a computer that takes a AA battery in the case of the Perdix)". All of those plus features such as AI and Shearwater's renowned customer service are features that I use and appreciate. Multiple gasses (tri-mix) and switching gasses mid-dive, are things that I will never use and for me to have to pay for them is as you put it "cray-cray talk".

No messier interface. The Perdix Rec Nitrox mode is very simple. It’s like he has a high powered sports car and only uses it for his daily commute.

I run my Teric and Perdix 2 in Rec Nitrox mode and love them - super clear display of all info I need to dive safely.

But, then again, I do also own a high powered sports car and use it as my daily driver…

Your sarcasm meter needs to be recalibrated. I was jumping off YOU saying they were too much for you. We get this mindset all the time here from recreational divers. It gets tiresome.

Fine, they can go use a crappy computer if they want to. The scuba self-flagellation of “I’m not worthy of Shearwater” is funny as ****.

No, the interface is great. I moved to these two after a previous computer failed on me during a dive while on a LOB. My point is that I have two computers on which I have paid for many features that I will never use and I am a firm believer in get what you need to do the job which you need it to do. I will never use many (perhaps most) of the capabilities that I have paid for. That is why I think a Peregrine with AI would be ideal.
