I would like to hear your recomendations on what equipment do I need to take with me onboard with the difference in pressure. Dive Computer yes, Pressure and depth gauges ???? what else???? thanks

See this thread, started yesterday, I believe:

http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/basic-scuba-discussions/347419-air-travel-gear.html

As for difference in pressure, unless your equipment (computer) is turned on, the pressure difference shouldn't matter. Some computers will recognize that you've flown or been at a higher altitude within a certain amount of time but if you're back on the ground before you start diving, there shouldn't be any issue with that.

I bring my regs, computer , pony bottle, and camera as a carry on, the balance of the gear gets checked.

My rule is if it's expensive, fragile or not easy to replace I carry it. For me, this means regs, computer, camera, mask (mine is prescription so it can't be easily replaced) and meds go on board. I pack cloths around the stuff in the carry on. They double as packing material and a change in case the airline loses the rest of may baggage.

I carry on my computer, regulator, camera, and mask. Everything else gets put in the checked baggage.

P.S. You also can't take spare air on a flight. Not carry on or checked, even if you've emptied it.

BC, mask, fins, snorkel and wetsuit go in checked luggage.

Regulator set, computer and camera are carried on. Anything else that's small, expensive, fragile and/or difficult to replace/rent at my destination also is carried on (compass, lights, SMB+reel, etc).

I'd carry it all on if I could. They can lose my clothes, but they better not lose my swimsuit and scuba gear. :D

It's always best if you can sneak your dive knife into the cabin, or even a small firearm. :D

I take anything that is expensive or that I believe will get flagged by TSA. I don't want my checked bags opened. The backplate is a particular issue because TSA hates big metal plates that they can't see through. Therefore I take my computers, regulators and backplate in my carry on. Mask, wetsuit, wings, fins, knife etc go in checked bags.

A whole bunch of useless answers that don't answer the Ops question which was about dive gear and cabin/luggage compartment pressure differences.

The only gear items I've had problems with is my dive lights. Try opening one of those suckers after it's traveled in the baggage compartment of an airplane for any length of time.

Jokes like this in the terminal can get you banned from the flight, or worse. Jokes about national security are NEVER amusing.

Make sure if you've got a hose mounted knife you remove it if you carry your gauges onboard.
