Just curious if anyone actually uses the PADI or NAUI wheel instead of the "flat" tables...

I've never seen one of them, other than the large one at the lds for teaching from and in pictures...

Aloha, Tim

I do.

I understand is the wheel is good especially for multilevel diving.

Negative, tables only. They also work as a wheel, in a pinch.

The wheel is good for mutilevel dives but the computer works allot better. The tables are easier but more conservative. I also noticed that PADI has come out with what looks like a calculator. Never touched one.

Let's see here - right here at my 'puter are PADI tables for 32% and 36%; PADI DSAT EAD/O2 Exposure table; a NAUI air table; and a NAUI wheel. I use a computer but the new NAUI RGBM tables also go on the boat and trips.
I had a PADI Wheel but I sold it on eBay.

I have the PADI Wheel. I don't like it. Even for multi-level planning, I use the tables.
