If you couldn't use a seaquest BC, which would you prefer and why?

Personally, I wouldn't use anything other than a BP/W. It's infinitely adjustable, streamlined, few failure points, negatively buoyant and comfortable.

My wife and I both dive Halcyon's...but really any BP/W would most likely suit me just fine.

I am currently using a Sherwood Axis which is my back-up BCD. This BC performs fine as compared to my earlier Seaquest Black Diamond, which is now under repair for a cracked seal. If does not perform quite like the Black Diamond, but for travelling, its a heck lot lighter...

Haven't decided to venture into BP as yet though quite a few dive buddies have gone for Oyxcheq and Halcyon....

I'm looking too start a LDS and am looking for a general consensus of recreational gear. I'll also carry Oxycheq BP/wings.

So, are you saying that Seaquest is the ultimate BC and asking what would we select as second if that was unavailable? And Scubapro doesn't even make the top 6? (this last one is probably true, but it is also probably true of all the others except maybe the Zeagle).

What are you trying to discover with this poll? Are these brands all that are available in your neck of the woods?

Edit: Your next post helps explain. Are you locked into Seaquest and looking at what other brands to carry? I'd look at Zeagle and Oceanic/Aeris. I'm not sure I'd get in bed with Aqualung or Scubapro. Seems they don't allow a level playing field.

Oxycheq has a soft plate in a premade harness, not real stable but is an option.

There is another shop with the Seaquest lock in the area, and am looking for a competable brand with a full line of gear. There others out there but I'm looking for a full line as too get reasonable pricing for buying from one main line.

I have an SQ bcd in my closet....and it is a fine bcd......but now I dive a DR SS with a deluxe harness bp and wing. Much happier....
