The best pizzerias, in order: Lombardi's on Spring Street, Grimaldi's in Brooklyn Heights, John's on Greenwich Avenue, and if you're from Chicago, go to Famous Ray's on 11th and 6th. If you're actually in Chicago, get a steak, martini, and a high-priced escort at Gibson's, I guess, but don't hurt yourself with what passes for pizza there.

nothing like some Giordonno's Pizza...

Just like trying to determine the best beer, determining the best pizza needs to take a considerable amount of time. I'd say a lifetime of serious testing. Why rush something this vital?

Very similar to my NYC faves.

Lombardi's on Spring Street
John's Pizzeria several locations in Manhattan
Nick's Pizza in Forest Hills
Grimaldi's Pizzeria in Brooklyn Heights

Hey, Chip, I like your highly scientific poll. :D

All of these are very pale places against the original Pepe's in New Haven CT, as any real pizza coinsurer, and Yale student, knows.

Been doing it since 1925 Welcome to The Original Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana - Home

Much West of NJ, or South of Philli, and a small circle around Chicago, pizza seems to be defined by Domino’s and Pizza Hut, the McDonalds of pizza, OK if you are starving, but not worth much else.
